1. About this policy
This policy applies to everyone who uses Orbis Social, which is provided by Orbis Digital Ltd ("we"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. You are responsible for what you and your users create, schedule and publish, including when AI helped to write it.
2. Lawful use
You must use Orbis Social lawfully. Among other things, you must:
- follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 when you handle personal data, including photos of people;
- follow advertising and consumer law, including the CAP Code, and make sure that paid or gifted promotion is clearly labelled;
- not publish fake or misleading reviews, which are prohibited by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024;
- hold the rights to the text, images, video and music that you upload and publish;
- follow any extra rules that apply to your sector.
3. Prohibited content
You must not use Orbis Social to create or publish content that:
- is illegal, or encourages illegal activity;
- is fraudulent or deceptive, including scams, phishing and impersonation (see also the Fraud Act 2006);
- is hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory;
- sexually exploits or endangers children, or is sexually explicit;
- promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm;
- infringes somebody else's intellectual property or privacy;
- spreads false information that is likely to cause harm.
4. Accounts you connect
Only connect Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts that you are authorised to manage. If you manage them for a client, you must have the client's permission. Remove access when somebody no longer needs it, and do not share logins.
5. Platform rules
You must also follow Meta's terms, community standards and rules on promotions. You must not use Orbis Social to send spam, artificially inflate engagement, or evade a platform's limits or enforcement. Facebook or Instagram may take action against your accounts under their own rules, and we cannot control that.
6. Using AI features responsibly
AI output can be inaccurate, and the brand-rule check does not guarantee compliance. You must review AI-assisted content before you publish it. You must not use AI features to generate content that this policy prohibits, or to deceive people about who is speaking.
7. Technical misuse
You must not try to gain unauthorised access to Orbis Social or to other customers' workspaces (see the Computer Misuse Act 1990), interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.
8. Monitoring and enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches. If we reasonably suspect a breach, a security risk or unlawful content, or if a platform or regulator tells us to act, we may remove access to content, stop publishing, or suspend or close accounts. Where appropriate, we will tell you what we have done and why. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
9. Reporting abuse
To report misuse of Orbis Social, email support@orbisdigital.co.uk or call 0330 223 7919, including a link to the content where you can.
