1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They let the site recognise your browser, for example to keep you logged in. Local storage is a similar technology that saves small pieces of information in your browser, but it is not sent to the website with every request.
This policy covers Orbis Digital Ltd's use of these technologies on the Orbis Social website (orbissocial.co.uk) and application (app.orbissocial.co.uk). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.
2. The law and your consent
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) says we must ask for your consent before storing or accessing information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 added exemptions for certain low-risk analytics and functional cookies. Even so, we still ask for your consent before using any analytics cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

When you connect an account, you are taken to Meta's own pages to grant permission. Meta may set its own cookies there, which are governed by Meta's cookie policy.

Use the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer to change your choice at any time. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the application will not work properly.
